had he stayed on HIS side of the road, it wouldnt have happend.
I never stated that she was on the bike at the time of the accident. You might have mistaken my post because of my example where I mentioned a passenger being kicked off a bike because of a cop collision.

Second, I do want cops to take down the bad guys. I think there is too much crime and stupidity in Houston as it is, but we have to obey the law on both sides of the line. Otherwise, we enter the world of Choas and join other savage countries . . .

IMO knocking a bike off the road isnt against the law for a cop..... it isnt against the law for a cop to do it on a car..... why should it be different on a bike?

There IS a difference between a bike and a car. Knocking a car off the road, there's a 95% chance the driver will LIVE. Knocking a bike off the road, there's a 95% chance the rider will DIE. As I see it, no license, running red light, having a warrant do not result in a death penalty. The cops had a bad judgement handling the chase. He only got 60 days suspension because the rider lived, otherwise he would have been out of the force and probably in the slammer.

almost every video ive seen when a guy runs and gets clipped bike the car or has some accident during the chase, the guy lives.

HES the one who wanted to play chicken with the cops... He knew he was on a bike(which makes him think hes ****ing superman and cant be touched) HES the one who broke the law, HES the one who wouldnt stop.

If the cop did not have his lights on how did he know he was playing chicken with him? Obviously the officers made mistakes in this case or there would not have been punishments handed down. That is the fact...department rules were violated and they paid their debt...case closed.

but hey, thats just me.

Plain and simple. DONT RUN.
+1 -

I have gotten out of tickets before because the cop was amazed I stopped. Unfortunately, a lot of bikes out there run. I would rather the cop hit him and stop him than have him T-Bone the back door of a car holding a baby (or anyone of any age).

i think the moral of the story is if you are breaking the law, don't run. Especially with an innocent person on the back of the bike. If you are enforcing the law, don't kill the runner. Especially if he has a passenger on the bike. The biker made a decision to run and he screwed up. The cop made a decision the hit the bike and he screwed up. a police officer is not allowed to make an example out of somebody. that is the judges job by deciding on a harsh sentence. an girl has brain damage that will never get better. That is not one persons fault. it is the runner and the pursuing officers that did not go by the rules of pursuing a motorcycle.
