What's the problem with following? Eventually the bike will run out of gas or wreck on it's own and the guy can be caught then. If it's not stolen, get the info from the plate and show up at dude's house. Not worth taking a life for a traffic violoation (just assuming). Even if the bike is stolen, I'm not sure the owner would have wanted it wrecked and the thief dead.

that was totally unacceptable on the cops part.. like body said it will just wreck or run out of gas. on the other hand the biker should know that hes either gonna wreck or go to jail. i think running is dumb, then again my bikes not stolen...its just not worth it

If everyone billybob on a bike that thought about running from the cops, knew that they would be hit if they ran... I bet alot more bikes wouldnt run.

Im all for using the car to stop the bike, they do it with cars......

If you think your bike makes you superman, I think the cops should show you the cryptonite.....

but hey, thats just me.

Plain and simple. DONT RUN.

the cop was probably just acting on instinct. im sure he was unable to determine the speed the biker was travelling, and assumed he would slow down to avoid crashing,, so he just rammed him., which is definetely the wrong move... he could have killed or paralized him for life.. unless the cop was certain the biker shot and killed somebody or something terrible in that nature, he should not have rammed him,

He might as well just pull over and open fire on him, because he basically could have killed him anyways.
