I am sick right now , so I haven't been able to make the effort to hit Wal-Mart, Mike told me they have one for $50 so I was going to go check it out... Matt's ride was hard on me (my body was achy and everything), but I wasn't missing it, since I knew it wasn't going to be hard ridin' and I could handle it and still be safe.

Anyway, once I'm better I'll let ya'll know.

Just make sure you take care of yourself. This will come again. We'd love to have you in a cage with your heater on (if it's cold) taking pics and holding canes. Cagers are welcome!

It is a fabulous idea- Azylum posted the original- he's organizing the entire city! I'm only responsible for the NE side. It's going to be a great opportunity to show our soft sides!

If any of you want to meet at 11 at PP1, we are going to meet up and go to lunch, then gear up for Candy cane giving! Don't forget to hit up the Operation Candy Cane original thread- plus there is more information about the ride! Please come out! We need more riders! B

Yes! Only we're splitting up by areas so we don't have to ride ALL over the city! You can sign up at the operation candy cane site started by Azylum!

Planning on random strangers shopping. We'll be going to shopping center parking lots. We cannot take our bikes into the hospitals... jk!

It would be nice if we could, though- when my daughter was in, we could not visit the other children at all- not even for donations or gifts or company; which was sad because some of them had no parents.

The Children's Hospital is a great idea! We can include that in the Central Region if we can get enough riders. We only have 3 riders who reside here, so we may need to "borrow" from areas that are saturated.

Not a website, just a thread... It's called 'Head Count: Operation Candy Cane" He has a video on there and some more information as to the WHY we're doing it.

NE side will meet at 1PM at Starbucks on 59 at 1960. I'll have routes mapped out for everybody who shows up. If you're available earlier, though, the entire group is going to meet at PP1 at 11, then go for lunch. See you there! B

We won't get to see any children... you can only donate items to the Social Service dept in the hospital, though they would probably appreciate it. B

I have an old friend who's a Pediatrician at the Children's Hospital, Dr. Sandy Hwang. I haven't spoken with her for a while, but we were really good friends once. I also don't know if she's still there. l'll see if she can do something about this. Maybe just arrange a time period when they can have the kids go out for a walk to meet us.
