Excellent read! It's not so much just about the handshake but also about the camaraderie between bikers. I have stopped numerous times to see if a fellow rider on the side of the road or highway needed help. There's nothing like the feeling you get when you're able to help someone out. I see more waving but less helping from the younger generations...I'd much rather know that someone would stop and help a fellow rider out, instead of just riding by and waving :/:

Nice story when I went to the rally I would wave to them as I pass the harleys and the best felling was when the would smile and wave back as if they were happy to know It wasn't another punk on a crotch rocket just another rider, thats a cool felling

I always wave if I see someone else. Anyone who doesn't wave back gets a goofy wave.

alright i'm pretty new to two wheels and don't have any friends that ride. so i have never had the chance to ride with another biker before this morning. i was on my way to work heading south on 288 when another biker pulled up behind me on a gsxr600 we just started to ride together and in a way look out for each other giving little gestures to warn the which ever was following at the time about what was ahead. i have to say it was a good time and enjoyed riding with another rider. i didn't know the guy but as i exited we waved and that was it. have to say it was the best ride i've had yet.

Funny story... I was waving to a biker. Behind a POS 4dr 90's civic - when the passanger rear window comes down and a hand comes out to WAVE back!!! No lie, car was full of young men... I waved once, but they wanted to wave from 242 just past the mulch area almost to Northcrest Ranch... I quit responding so they started flipping me the bird... They stopped in the middle of the road to let me pass while waving frantically - As If!

I never iniate a wave to a harley rider for they will not always wave back. it makes me feel ridiculous before everyone else on the road. I will however wave back if they wave at me first.
