I make a point to wave at the Hardley riders in the corners, and watch their face trying to decide if they want to take the hand off or not...

Kinda like when I had the old Porsche, we all blinked the lights at each other.

Long story but it does show comradeship. I still wave at passing bikers, day or night.

I never really understood the wave as anything but a friendly hello and acknowledgment to fellow bikers, kinda like when someone let's you in their lane during traffic and I put a hand up saying "Thank you"

However, I was riding on Britmoore and Clay on Saturday and I got and gave my very first wave. It felt pretty good considering I don't usually see alot of bikes on the main streets I'm on. So if any of you guys were the rider coming out of one of the industrial warehouses Saturday afternoon on Britmoore then I wanna give you a thumbs up and a friendly thank you.

i thought i was a loon. maybe i am, but at least im not the only one who does that sometimes.

I know exactly what you mean.... actually Ive HAD people tell me Im crazy for looking back - at my car and my bike. I just get the feeling that its lookin back at me sometimes.

As far as the wave goes same thing with vettes, we go through all the same "new generation is better than you" mentality and it feels good to get a wave, I remember my first wave. But its been a long time since Ive really cared if they wave back, as my roommate would say - they must be renting.

Does anyone wave to people on the other side of the interstate? I admit I usually don't cause I don't see the oncoming traffic. I'm usually so focused on the traffic around me and my mirrors to look at traffic on the other side of the center. Like on 59, 45, 10, etc...

I always wave on smaller roads unless I'm in the middle of clutching.

See I don't like waving at rally's that is kindof silly. Way too many bikes you would be waving all the time. I think the wave gesture goes out the window during a rally.

I always wave to the other crotch rockets, but whenever I wave to a cruiser I never get a wave back, so I don't even waste my body movement anymore. Its kind of rediculous.
Just cause we're different.
