almost went down

dammnit yeah i was riding hwy 6 going to hooters and i changed to the middle lane.
then suddenly (classic) everyone slammed on the brakes, i did it too and my rear locked so i let it go and swerved to the right wasnt enough

hit a van in the left side with my right mirror, i felt that the bike was going down. so i push the handlebars to the right and up

good thing i stayed in 2 wheels and stopped, but bad thing is my left hand hurts like a son of a bytch

i guess because the extra effort on the handlebars

anyway no damage on my bike but the van had some paint scratch

either way he said he gonna get my insurance to pay

he said only a buff and clear coat in about 2 inches wide damage

no what am i supose to do with my hand before looking for a new one on ebay?

wait till it passes? excersice? ice? or

Glad to hear your okay bor. This thread could have read a lot different.

I know how at times traffic will eat your safety zone quick. When I have to hit the brakes like that and lock the rear, I just leave it locked. My focus is always on the front to try and keep it straight and not let it turn left or right and highside me onto 1960.

I would suggest that if you have any discoloration in your hand and if the swelling doesn't go down in the next couple of days, I would see a doctor and let them take a look at it.

Again, glad to hear your safe...

:
all depends on if you let it.

and yeah, the rear brake stuff is taught at MSF, hence my question.

unlucky is a nail in your tire or getting hit by a tire/wheel in the HOV, not anticipating cars braking following to close and slamming into other cars is your own fault. damm that personnal responsibility!
