that what im saying Scott you didnt blame anyone for what you did....but you have to understand that if a child comes from generation and generation of poverty and violence what do you think they are going to eventually become...You took your chance to rebuild your life...alot of the people dont get a chance rebuild....they return back to the samething they left to continue doing the same thing....

Thats all these youngins are doing now. But the level the game is at now, is insane.

I'm only 31 years old, but growing up...our way of getting in trouble or testing our abilities was to steal a candy bar or something. That was a rush.

Not doing whats going on nowadays. They think its cool now to run the mouth, tell people you've shot someone, stole something, robbed someone.

Now, having said that...where is that mentality coming from? It sure isn't coming from the folks who live out in the Woodlands or River Oaks or Memorial.

yea cause no one from those areas steals LOL your logic is flawed

Music has a huge affect of kids these days. Go to a high school and look at how they are dressed for one. Go to a mall and you will see a little girl shaking her little like they do in the hip hop/rap music video's. I agree with 100% about the whole parent thing, but some parents see school as a baby sitter and basically allow their peers, media, and music influence them because that is really all they have. Also, I don't know if your a teacher or your S.O is but if you see the teenager life especially in high school and even fresh out of, half want to be rappers. They pretend the represent something just like TI represents himself as the "King of the South". They pretend to struggle and they don't even know what it is like to have a real responsibility. They only see these succesful rappers like Lil' Jon and Chamillionaire as they hear their personal struggles in their songs. After than song is over, that is all they care about. They don't sympathize with the passion and stress they have to go through to be where they are at. Lil Jon is a really smart guy but he knows what sells. These kids who want to be famous have NO IDEA what it is like behind the scenes and don't care because they think a good flow will make them a multi millionaire. And as for the other nothing rappers, they only sing it, not live it. Rap is not like it used to be.
