Kill switch?

Im having some issues with my 04 R6. It seems as though if I go over 8 grand, or get on it.. it dies. Sometimes lately, the fuel pup wont kick on and I have to jiggle the killswitch.. Anybody know of any issues with the kill switch?
If I ride it normal its fine... But If i jump the throttle it shuts down

six, i managed to help someone out with a similar issue on a honda, all i did was take apart the kill switch housing and cleaned the contacts with emery cloth, put back together and never had another problem.

it's possible that it could be a loose connection.

What did you clean it with? Any special solvent I could use? Is there anyway to bypass the switch to figure out if thats the issue?

just want to make sure the contact area's are clean. sandpaper, or something a little coarse, it may have a little surface rust on it.

short the wires together bypass the switch; if the connector can disconnect from the outside, jump it with a paperclip and tape it off

It sounds a bit more complicated than just the kill switch if it won't run above 8k rpms.
If you'd like, bring it by and we'll listen to it, test ride it free of charge.

Patrick, Im gonna be in tomm morning to pick up some gear, I will have you take a look at it...

Its not only 8 grand, its just when I hit the throttle hard. If I slowly increase the throttle its fine.
