could it be the stock tires slipping?

its a brand new bike so it can't be the rotors....i've not taken the front wheel off yet from the dealership....so wtf could this be?

its really annoying cuz its not like i'm braking hard or nething...this hasn't even happend to me at the track when trailbraking so i'm really confused....and i've checked the tire presure....

so far american honda and fun bike center in calif. told me it could be my front tire....

Like you said it never happened on your GSX-R !!!!!

Other than being a honda. It sounds like your front tire is totally out of balance. Happened to me before on my first sportbike. Or could be your pads or rotor. Check the tire balance first.

HEAD BEARINGS...........watch your tripple under heavey braking straight up and down. Does it move, should feel a little bit of a bumping in the ripple clamp. Actually if you have a steep driveway, roll down while hitting the brakes on and off and see if you have movement in the tripple. Let us know how it turns out.

if it was the balance wouldn't it wobble at high speeds too...

and it can't be the brakes cuz if i brake in a straight line with the bike straight up and down i can lift the front tire of the ground and its doesn't do head shake???

i'm totally baffled!

That's a little high for track pressures, Id recommend starting with 31 cold.
With as low as miles as you have I doubt it's steering bearings or anything else.

What kind if tire is on it?

Duuuuudddddeeee............I think it's the climate in SoCal. You need to run thinner grease due to lack of all the humidity. I just got through with the same thing on my '07. You'd think "Dealer Prep" cost would get you tight head bearings.

+1...dealer prep sounds buggered up...

put it on a stand if you got one and grab the forks from the front...see if you can get any movement/play.

its just hard to trust the stealership to do their job right.

oh and for the record...id take loose head bearings over a brittle frame anyday...lol...flame suit on.

Ya, that's exactly what I need to do soon cause my steering has been feeling a little off and ever once in a blue moon I hear a light thump as I take off. I tried holding the front brake and jouncing it but can't see if there's movement... hopefully the spanner nut just got a slight bit loose after I was put down by that truck....

One thing twisted failed to mention was that the bike was involved in a crash. Which could have helped with the dianostic.
