Like I stated in the other forum. Depends on what part of evolution. Evolution as the body evolving to adapt. Yes, that explains pigment of different skins, muscle sizes, etc. Evolution into different animals? No.

Anyone know about Lucy? I think she's still on display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It's a really neat exhibit.

(I'm in no way affiliated with the HMNS or the Lucy exhibit)

As far as I am concerned, this little monkey thing, "Lucy" settles the debate and proves evolution. With me being Christian or not.
This is the missing link that turns the argument acedemic from this point forward.

well its obivousally true, the data shows an increase in temperture over the span of atleast 150 years

BUT do we have anything to do with it, no, well sure we may not be helping, but theres no way were making it any worse.

the earth runs in circles until something HUGE changes a cycle

such as a ocean current (the cause of the last two ice ages)

I know people that still look like this today

Seriously though, a lot of indigious people still have a lot of those features; while still totally evolved as all humans have. I think they just didn't evolve in regards to their features much.

Yea, I should have said, I don't believe in the global warming that these nuts believe in, such as our cars and plants! OH NO! Granted we should be a little smarter with plants (chemicals) and cars (gas) and what not, but come on!

Still don't believe it. There is a picture showing the evolution from chimp to human also. Watched the discovery channel on it. Still don't agree.

But you agree with something that someone 'experienced' and 'wrote down'?

See, I don't have a problem believing this evolution. They found skeletons, they aged them. In some museum, you can see them with your own eyes. The evolution of the horse makes complete sense to me.

So, while keeping an open mind, I am open to learn about anything and believe things that make sense to me. I'll continue to dig around while living life and the more I learn, the more I realize I know nothing.

from what I gathered from Lucy's exhibit, man and chimp both came from Australopithecus afarensis, which Lucy was.

(I am no archaeologist or paleontologist)

Yep, and just like how I watch the discovery channel, and pay attention to what they say about evolution and such, my faith in is stronger. It works for me, I live a happy fulfilled life. I feel I am a better person. You asking me over and over in different ways and scenarios is not going to all of a sudden change my mind. I won't be around long enough to "witness" evolution. And if when I pass, I find out that Christianity is wrong by there being nothing beyond this life, I am going to die a happy fulfilled man. I don't doubt my belief, and I think that should be ok.
