I don't have a trailer, and my truck is fully loaded with bike, pit bike, tool, rain tires, cooler, leathers, front & rear stand, and ramp.

Re: Monday 8/29 LSTD Roll Call

Apparently Moody suffered a concussion or something of that nature and was taken to the hospital for a bit. He's alright and was able to make it to the track before the end of the day.

Re: Monday 8/29 LSTD Roll Call

I wish I would have gotten to meet moody, but I did get a chance to introduce myself to fz1moto. I had a great time, learned a lot, and I REALLY REALLY love the horseshoe and turn 1. It just seems like turn 1 never ends and the horseshoe lets you stay sideways for ever. I felt really cramped in C group, and only when following instructers hunting down their students is when I really got to go. I know that I should do C group at least one more time because I need to find markers for brake points and probably can find some even better lines. Jeez, T1 has so many linessssss, it blows my mind.

I finally got to take the rest of my front stripes off and found that my pilot power rear tire is a LOT stickier than the michilin I have in the front.

Finally I owe a big thanks and thumbs up to Patrick. He has got to be the most genuine and helpful person that the houston motorcycle community has.

Most of you know that I rode my bike there and home, but Patrick made sure I got home safely and helped my prep my bike to spec on some last minute things. I dont think I would ever ride there and back again. That was hellish. Never do it!

Re: Monday 8/29 LSTD Roll Call

nice meeting you ryan (finally)...* *veddy glad you had a blast... heard you did good out there...* right:

moody is ok... minor concussion... i'm sure he'll post up in the next few days...

hot day today... lots of crashes...* :eh:

had another friend of mine go tumbling off of the track at about 80mph in t6... after flipping and bouncing off of the ground about seven or eight times he finally landed face down... at which point he was motionless... i honestly thought i had just witnessed the worst thing that can happen to a rider... scared the out of me... but he was just stunned/knocked out for a few... (thank )

i 'got on it' half sorta one session i ran with carbonr1... and did some 2:08's-2:09's... he's lookin good out there ya'll... time to trade in the r1 for a 636 mang!...* right:

anyway for the most part i took it easy... ran tons of 2:10's - 2:11's...

props to patrick for trackside support... and to lstd instructor ronnie hay for showing me some alternate lines in 6 and 8a...

Re: Monday 8/29 LSTD Roll Call

Good day, good to see everyone out there.
Felt bad for Jason and Brian, but that thing is going to happen sooner or later in this sport. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt.
Ryan, it was good meeting you, glad you enjoyed it today. You're right, stay one more time in C group at slower speeds to work on your lines and reference points. Next time come find me first thing and I'll get you hooked up with Ronnie to work on your lines.
Glad you made it home o.k.! right:

#74 on the baby blue bike is fast as . Someday I want a chance at following that guy. Watching him was just badass. The guy on the turbo gsxr1000 definately should not have been in A group. That guy didnt even go fast enough through turns to even shruge his shoulder much less lean.

Also I really like riding behind Alan, smaller asian guy. He is really helpful and much faster than I am sure he let me witness.

Glad to hear moody is oaky. out of curiosity who told you I did okay? Dont most the people you hang with reside in the Upper groups(A and B)?

On the straight into T1 my bike felt unstable at high speeds, I think because it didnt have the fairings. I kept it right at 130 through there most of the time I think. I only really checked my speedo 2 times the entire day. Seemed like everyone was telling me not to.

Haha yeah I know. He made my first lap on TWS (Texas World Speedway) a blast. I was just wondering if I was in the wrong group because other people were telling me I wouldnt get out of 2nd gear and following him I got up to 4th. too bad that after that we got stuck behind another group.
