If the stories that date as far back as the dead sea scrolls are false, then why couldn't the literature on the Pagans also be false? Christianity has always had enemies and what better way to discredit them than to use literature (media?/journalists). It still works to this day. You think (right or wrong, not my point) that would be taken out of everything today without media? If all the stories of the bible could be false, why is it so hard to believe that the writings about Pagans and how Christianity took from Pagan traditions could be false?

Ok so what does that mean? That what we read about Pagans today has to be fact because they were here first? The bible had to be translated from the dead sea scrolls that only a few people are capable of translating. So what does that mean about Pagan writings? How much gets lost in translation, how much is "filling in the gaps" and how much is made up?

I see, so it's all just a conspiracy? So now history books have it all wrong too and should be tossed out along with science books containing evolution?

I agree, I know Christians couldn't have stole from the Pagans. My reference is maybe the history of Pagan traditions were written later on, and could have been put in place to discredit Christianity. I dunno, just speculation. I never thought you took me as thinking Christianity had traditions taken by Pagans.
