Good News! Texas World Speedway has been sold!

Got great news for almost all of you!

Texas World Speedway has been sold - and no not to some property investor who will build a couple hundred apartments there, but rather to some (i believe 2-3 group) or car enthusiasts, that plan on repaving and bettering the track.

Let's just hope they keep us in mind and we keep on having races/track day over there in the future..

Wow that would be great to see TWS (Texas World Speedway) fixed up a bit.

How much - no clue.

Who - a couple big shots in (2-3) car clubs, I believe the Ferrari of Houston club was involved aswell.

Nonetheless the car guys realize what needs to be done & "also have the funds to make it better", that's where we motorcyclists fall back. :/: We realized, but dont have the funds.

$5-7k bike owners (majority @ track) vs. car owners from your $4k miata to $150k ferrari....

Where did you get the info?

I hope it's real, I've heard plenty of possible scenarios, but none of them (however promising they've sounded) ever played out yet.

Keeping hope alive though...

I almost really did build one out of my bud's wrecked 1100. We mounted it up on a frame and everything, then lost interest. We didn't have the money to finish it up safely anyway. I wonder where that thing is now...

Yeah, I know. We were young, and were easily distracted (especially by the girlies).

i hope it's true and that the new owners don't forget about us. I love that track and would hate if we couldn't ride there anymore.
