i live in the galleria area so about the only thing i can think of is go eat... on the 4000 block ish of westheimer there is a place called Highland Villiage... there are some really nice places to eat... Ra Sushi, Pf Changs, Smith and Wolensky, Pricey but nice... from 610 and westheimer head east on westheimer and less than a mile on the left and right just passed the tracks you will be there...

Didn't Eatzi's close like 6 months ago?

Kona Grill in the galleria has a good happy hour bar scene.

If you feel like going out for dinner or have a drink, go to skybar on montrose...not quite in the galleria I'm aware of that. but it's only 5 minutes away and it's a cool place to have a drink given you are 21+. I'm not but I've been snicked in.

Seconding Skybar and if you're in town for the whole week that I would suggest going on Thursday night. It's salsa night and they play good music, usually with a live band. And if salsa dancing isn't your thing, they have an awesome outdoor patio where you can see a pretty big chunk of midtown.

Also, I believe there's a piano bar on Westheimer and 610 called Sullivans. Never been there myself but friends of mine have given it a pretty good review.

Did they? I didn't know that....well that blows.

You can always head out to Rice Village to visit some of the bars in that area.

There are also some bars in the Upper Kirby area...
