so ... I was curious if someone from POH or anyone else can tell me what benefit would i be looking to get if I did the On & Off Dyno and Tuning package. and if its worth it for a 600 GSXR with just a slip-on?
I don't race my bike or anything, but I do want to have it running at its fullest potential

No need to tune a bike with a slip on only. Factory tunes are pretty rich all over so you are well within the safe zone.....As long as your bike runs well at all rpms and throttle ranges, don't mess with it. Not worth spending money on a PCIII and tuning for a stock bike.

Just throw it up on the dyno, make your 3 back to back runs, get your dyno chart and hang it on the wall... DONE.

BTW on/off, on/off, on/off is not tuning what so ever..

I Agree totaly.
A true tune is done with a Load bearing Dyno at every 1000 Rpms at full throtle for performance mods and Partial Throtle for economy.

Running too rich on any engine will actualy take away perforemance, running bumped up timing and as lean as possible without Detonation is where the power is.
That being you are NA. boosted engines require a bit more attention when Boost kicks in and timing needs to go back and fuel needs to compensate for the extra air,Pressure, and heat placed on the Piston.

if bikes run naturaly rich at full throtle than adding mods to lean it out will increase the performance as long as your engine does not ping and starve for fuel in your powerband.

another problem with running rich is overheating just like retarding the timing.

My suggestion is always go forward in timing and stop when either you dont make any more power or you start to ping, then address the fuel to get rid of the pinging.

My 2 cents

How are you deciding who gets on the dyno in what order? Trying to see if I can get on in the morning since I have to head out by probably 12noon or so.

if you want to get on the dyno first, then get there first. I would think its a first come first serve basis!

What is the real reason for not allowing nitrous on the dyno?

im sure you could use nitrous to see what you got for your own personal interest. , i would. but we all wanna see "all motor" numbers to compare with each other.

Their Dyno is lacking the Eddy Current Break which allows the sudden Force applied from the Instant Boost or Spray! In Short It wont take the Shock!
