Crashed C-14

Well I just got the estimate from the dealer for my crashed Kawi C-14Ö. $13,368.14. :/:

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=40976

That ought to do it. Still have to deal with the insurance co. Hey anybody know how they depreciate a 2008 model thatís not in any blue books yet? Dealer says theyíll probably just pay for a new one but that seems a little too good to be true to me having over 9K miles on it. Iíll also consider buying the bike salvage and fixing it but Iíd really have to make out like a bandit on that deal to make it worth waiting knows how long for parts.
Anyway, it looks like I might be up and riding again pretty soon.

yeeeouch! Would be nice if you could at least get the exhaust and tune parts off it.

Take notes kiddies,.. this is why you don't just have liability on your brand spankin' new bike!

dont let them give you too little. Insist upon replacement value. With my recent insurance claim on a 07 I flat out refused their first offer, I challenged them to find a comparable replacement at their offer. Insurance called me back about 5 days later and told me they were going to give me the max policy value....1400$ higher!

randy. i am betting the insurance will total it then. seems that there is a % of what cost to fix compared to worth on where they will total it.
don't expect to buy it back for cheap either. ask John about his busa and what they wanted and his was trashed.
give him a call and ask about replaceing gear also. won't hurt
later
