opinions on Photoshop mods

I am getting a lower fairing for my Bandit. So I found a pic of a bike that is "close" to mine, and have been playing. The fairing I am getting is a little different shape, but this is close enough.

First pic is how mine currently sits, other than the pipe, which is now a Scorpion oval carbon fiber. I also have a CF rear hugger to put on, and am debating on a CF front fender as well.

Anyhow, with my frame blacked out, I am on the fence between leaving the entire lower silver, or blacking out the bottom to match the frame.

Thoughts?

I like it with the touch of black. Especially considering that your rim centers are black and if you ever get a CF can it would look killer.

Already have the Scorpion CF oval, but no pic yet. I plan to set mine at the same angle this time home and get an updated pic to play around with.

Main reason for black on the bottom is it makes the bike look longer and lower..

decisions, decisions!

I agree...it does make it longer and lower. It also ties in the look IMO esp considering you have the CF can.

IMHO get a polished stainless can and leave fairing all silver.

All silver.

I understand your reasoning for the black to give it a visual impression of being longer and leaner, but somehow it still looks arbitrary in application.

I would install the CF hugger and CF front fender first, then take a second look at that option.

I'm with Rob. Put the CF parts on first then step back and take a look for a while . Don't you have a black belly pan on yours right now? I think that's what your thinking of giving a lower longer look and it does. I'm just not so sure that just painting the bottom of that fairing piece is going to serve the same purpose. It's shorter than the belly pan and I think it's going to look like the bottom side of it has been painted.

Hey is it cold and rainy and crappy offshore too Jim?

Yup, the first pic shows the current chin spoiler. It isn't all that long..

I guess I need to get the hugger on and a new pic so I can compare apples to apples.

And yes, Jim, it be crappy here as well, with the added fun of the waves rocking us around a bit.

Oh yeah I see, I just didn't notice it the first time I looked. I know that's what I'd do, it might look great painted black but the pic in all silver looks good too.

Well take care out there.

Man, personally, I think it would look "the " if you powder coated the frame, forks and swingarm black, and leaving the full fairing silver.
