Oak Hill Raceway in December...

So with 3 races scheduled to take place at Oak Hill Raceway next year i'd like to get in as much time as possible at the track.

The first race is February 23-24 weekend, I'd like to go atleast 2-3 times during December - January.

So whose in? I'm pretty flexible of when to go, but would prefer going on Friday or Saturday. I'm hoping to get a group ready before calling to book the track. I'm sure some of the CMRA guys will already be there - i'd just prefer going with local people to cut down on the costs.

PS: Invitation open for CMRA racers only, this is not a track day - there will be no EMS or Corner Workers. :/:

I'll go with you Moe, depending on the date. I'm sure I can scare up a couple of others too. Maybe Charles can get off work and we'll take the toy hauler. Split fuel and have a place to stay that is nice too.

Lots of guys last year turning some incredible times out there on a cold track. I won't, but it'll be a good time to get some basics down. Just don't push the limit.

riding in the cold and possibly rain makes you smooth!

Sorry Moe. A couple of us so far would like to get together for a day at the 'Hill. Why not start a new thread and hope that it will keep on topic next time?

Happens everytime here does'nt it?

Anyways, it'd be awesome if we can get the toy hauler. And it helps when you got a paramedic going with you !

Let's keep this thread for open discussion about track likes, dislikes, what to watch for, best way to get there, what days to avoid, weather, people, staying arrangement etc etc..date..

And then i'll also create a Roll Call with just names of people (interested) in going, once we fix a date.

But spread the word out you guys.. look at it as a learning curve..

Thanks mod for the clean up

PS: Any track can be deadly/dangerous, just learn to ride it..(that's my objective with these trips to da `Hill...its still $75 right?

Yup, $75.

Bring your CMRA license or "pink sheet". If you have a license with someone else (like WERA or something), you can use it, but it'll cost $100 for the day.

If we can get a common date, I'll make sure the toy hauler can be available. I don't think Chaz has anything scheduled, but he was trying to go camping.

I'll be leaving Friday morning and staying until Sunday. I'll have my youngest son on his Metrakit and his older brother on his motard and I'll just be riding to observe on my SV. I'll probably go three or four times in December with my sons. I confirmed with Darryl that we have the track a few minutes ago. I will call again Thursday night to get a local weather report.

Spoke to my grandfather in Longview and the weather looks good until Sunday afternoon. Should be in the mid 60's.
