ouch....dragging footpeg?

you can see a few sparks before his bike high sides.....to those who like to drag your pegs around.....especially if you have stationary pegs (aftermarket usually)....dig em in the ground too deep, and this is what happens.

here's a few more vids of crashes.....i like to watch crashes....helps keep me in check sometimes.

I remember that Jamie Hacking's crash (#2 crash).
That was awful.
Thought for sure he got really hurt.
But I believe he came back to race again after red flag.

Miguel Duhamel's highside was just amazing (#4 crash).
I think that was back in 2005 or 2006.
After that crash, he got up and finished the race as second place.
He's the man.

I think Duhamel's going to be 40 next year.
He's truly amazing.

I eventually took the feelers off my pegs because the scraping was freaking me out. My pegs fold up, but the first time I took my bike through the horseshoe @ TWS (Texas World Speedway) I was afraid of it digging in and tossing me.
(I've since learned to hang off to overcome the lack of clearance)

That was the worst crash I had ever seen. I remember sitting in front of the TV and my first thought about Geoff flying through the air and coming down like that "He is not going to walk away from that one!" and he did. Just amazing!!!!

His bike has never really been the same since, I know, cause parts of it are in still clinging to the rafters of my garage.

I dragged my peg feelers at MSRH on the Busa. I thought my boots were dragging and I kep tucking my toes in tighter and higher, but still scraping. Luckily Buck came over after the session and pointed out I should remove the peg feelers before they cause a highside. I was throwing sparks in the transitions. Thanks B! Might have saved me a crash.

I remember watching that Duhamel crash in the 200 last year. Very impressive that he landed on his head and before he even stopped sliding he jumped up and was RUNNING to get back on the bike and continue. There are several other racers that would have just laid there feigning injury until they were sure that a red flag would come out so that they could join the restart after a chance to sit and recoop.

wasnt there some dude who created a thread awhile back asking how many people scrape/drag peg? Then a few people like house of pain told him it wasnt a good idea and good riding form and he proceeded to argue and whatnot? i think he needs to see this
