Try Calmes Motorsports just outside of Baton Rouge, LA. When I bought my bike from them, they gave me the option of paying taxes there or paying taxes in Texas when I registered the bike. Several Houston guys have bought their bikes from there.

o yes calsleez motorsports, i live about 5 miles away from there. Remember you will have to pay taxes on the bike even if ur not getting it registered and what-not. Just an FYI sales tax in this part of louisiana is 9% so if they give you the option pay texas tax then do it. Also another dealership about 20 miles away from Calmes is LightSpeed Motorsport, they also supply the brand you are looking for

I was thinking of doing the same thing, cheaper tires, easy on the gas costs, less damage etc etc..

but then when it came to decide whether to run the nu 08 or the old ones..here's where i stopped:

New one:

- Being its first year will most likey have bugs and issues, i always like to avoid first year models, like cars or bikes... with the older model no issues.

- Not enough vendors make parts, from bodywork to exhausts, pegs, etc...with the older model no issues.

- We are not experts (Tony & I), so there is no money (contingency wise) if we were to sprint it.

- Race parts, you'll find cheap parts to Wera, Ebay, even CMRA for the older model - none for nu one.

I still wanna run a Ninja 250 (endurance), but i guess i'd probably go with the older model and race that and maybe later upgrade to the new setup.

Either way you can't go wrong with it!

Kawasaki of Pasadena has always been good to me, I'll get with the boss-man and see what he can do!

Besides, the $280 in taxes split four ways is only like $150 each (thats what we'll tell the other two guys Tony).

Wonder if Attack will make bodywork???
