First off, I'm the first guy to hand a bunch of cops their , I earned that right. I know guys walking around like they're gods and they should be in prison. BUT I also know that the media is the WORST thing to happen to an incident. I can remember reading in the paper about something I did/executed, and the only thing they got right was the date. total misinformation. Did those guys screw up? right, they should be in there fixing that ladies house and repairing her stuff, hat in hand. But 1 lone guy isn't responsible for all the other , or the dept policies. So don't believe everything in the news.

thats what I think... If I see a bike or anything that isnt mine I walk by it ... its like yesterday at the BW3 meet in ClearLake... there were plenty of Motorcycle helmets laying on bikes... Would it have been OK to just simply take it bc it was there??? NOOOOOO... a crook is just a crook...

+1

I guess we should just throw all the cops in jail and let all the thieves and murderers run lose and do whatever they want.

I've considered that. If the place is surrounded then they have no place to hide anyway. If someone kicks in my front door and I'm in the bedroom I can get to my gun before they get to me. I guarantee it.

You're missing the point.

The objective was supposed to be lowering the number of bicycle thefts in the area. You actually think that arresting and charging common people with felonies is going to accomplish that? These people weren't carrying bolt cutters and stealing locked up bikes, they were simply walking off with something that someone else left behind (in their minds). ALL of the people that were arrested were on foot and were obviously too poor to afford transportation.

Hey NoFear:

It's not the man who points out how the strong man has stumbled or that the doer of deeds could have done better. The real credit belongs to the man who's actually in the arena who's face is marred by dust, sweat and blood who strives valiantly that who if he fails at least he fails while doing greatly
Isn't this on your quotes? It seems to me you need to follow the advice from good ole Teddy R. and quit armchair quarter-backing what Law Enforcement do. People like you who point fingers, criticize what we do and have no respect for what we do make me want to puke!
Did you know that Texas is leading the nation in Officer deaths?
I ask you and any other Law Enforcement Critic....
When you leave your house for the day and kiss your loved ones goodbye; does it cross your mind that you may not be coming home?
Do you think to yourself that while speaking to strangers while at work that one or more want to kill, shoot or maim you in some horrible way for no other reason that you are a Law Enforcement Officer.
How many times have you had to enter a darkened building knowing criminals are inside who want to shoot you?
Heck, how many fights have you been in at work for that matter?

So you keep feeling safe thanks to the service Law Enforcement provides and point your little finger at mistakes made. The first hint of trouble and you'll call who? The Cops. And we'll show up knowing just how much we're hated and still do our jobs to the best of our ability.

Even if the place is surrounded why take chance and let the bad guy take the first shot or take someone out by sitting and waiting for him to come out?
I bet you're natural reaction to that won't be going for the gun. Unless you know that you are wanted by the law, dead or alive.

A mistake would be giving some one a ticket that wasn't speeding because they are driving the same car as one who was or arrenting some one who fit the ideentity of another. A mistake is not SWAT tearing through a persons home with the excuse of address incorrections.
The LEO should be chaining a very expensive bike to see who steals it in multiple areas with teams on stake out and not setting one up on the corner to see who takes it. Opportunity creates a theif and the point was to stop deliberate thieves and not create an opportunity for the general public.

Something doesn't sit right with me about the Majority/Minority statement either. You thanked in your job b/c your doing what is right. I wonder what other LEO's were doing to give the sentiment that No Fear (and others) have against them. I'm sure they didn't just wake up wonring morning and think that they are going to hate on cops today.

its not about catching trash... its about taking bad guys/gall off the street on person at a time... it may seem like a petty crime to you but if they do get away with it it will only re-enforce thay stealing is Ok and that heck Ill try it again...

clue, a thief is a thief, poor or mediocre or rich.

now i understand what your saying, but kinda lost. 1 neighborhood complains, so they set up a sting all the way across town? who knows maybe the gang hits more then 1 neighborhood, the cop explaining the story may have left something out.

cops in HD rocks!
