I'm not completely familiar with all the laws, but is this asking to be able to carry without a CHL?

No, the C stands for conceled, this is open, meaning you can carry the gun in plain sight.

Like back in the Wild West. So we can all look at each others guns and compare them.

oh ok, I have mixed feelings on that. One it would be good in a way that you would KNOW who was carrying which may cause some people to back down. But at the same time, being in the open allows it to get misused by someone catching you not paying attention.

I would like the option of open carry but like the element of surprise by having it concealed.

Hmmm..

With the concealed weapon law, nobody has to carry, but a (smart?) crook might at least assume some people are carrying and stay away.

Plain site, they would know who is and isn't carrying.

Bigtime over simplification I know.

I don't surprise anyone unless they plan to do harm on my person, friends, or family.

Yes, I understand that being open carry, bg will think twice before they strike, but that also open up a whole can of worms.

My firearm stays hidden, so no one really knows about it unless I print. To my knowledge, I have not surprised anyone yet because no one has do harm on my person, friends or family. I like to keep it that way.

Well it'd be interesting if they allowed open & concealed carry... im jsut trying to think of aspects of how that would change enforcement and how it might impact the criminal element.
In theory this could create a..camoflauge for criminals carrying weapons.

CHL works in my opinion. No reason to make someone uneasy in an establishment by having one in plain sight. I know people that get uneasy and I don't blame with the way some people handle themselves. I believe in don't point unless you plan to kill so I get sensitive to idiots flayling about...

I think a more casual issue would increase boldness of punks who wanna be tough but are more pu$$i to pull a trigger then get messed up in a fight. You can live through a fist fight a lot easier then lead flying through the air. At least you learn something about our own mortality and preservation of life.

I lived in az for awhile and although legal to carry a side arm not many people did it. There is no fear of people that do carry. criminals are not allowed to carry and neither are minors. The crime rate in az is no higher than texas is.
