the definition of pathetic...

Being 35 years old and not having yet told my Mom that I bought a motorcycle and have been riding for almost a year.

She may be 62 years old but she can still bust my .

My plan is to wait untill she's a little older and senile and then I can tell her that I already told her and that she's just forgotten that I told her.

Ha ha! My wife and I didn't tell my mother-in-law. We just waited 'til she came over and saw it. But, she knew I had one before I met my wife.

haha.....i used to tell my old man...."i'm just borrowing it, it's kenneth's (buddha429) bike"

i was only 18 at the time though....now when i tell my old man i'm leaving for the weekend to race the bike....he just says...."have fun, be careful, bring home a trophy or something"

parents are understanding.....if you reason with them. try it sometime......it's better than if forbid something should happen to you....it'll be more of a shock that they didn't even know their own son knew how to ride a motorcycle.

C'mon man... parents are pretty reasonable... especially when you ask your younger brothers to tell them and take the heat
Of course, by being the older and as a "the responsible one" I wouldn't let them to ride my bike... "that stuff is too dangerous"

That would suck to have something happen to you and for someone to have to tell your parents you got hurt on a bike when they didn't even know you ride.
My parents know, my mom said she was actually proud of me for doing it the right way and getting my license first. But she prefers not to see me on the bike. My dad, who used to ride, doesn't say much. But I can see the smile on his face when he saw me on it and I know he's happy for me.

My mom didn't find out I got my R6 til over a year later and my response was that I was about to sell it, which I was already planning on doing. She's nags the out of me about everything.

I did tell her I have a new one when he asked what I drove to Del Rio last weekend and I just told her it's a big dirtbike. She didn't care and still bugged me about getting rid of it.

I couldn't bring myself to tell her that I'm driving it across Mexico and up baja in February.

It helps that my parents are still in Hawaii and when they call all they ever want to do is talk about or to their grand daughter

I'm 34 and my mom thinks I'm "silly"...but she's already made our reservations for Femmoto 2008 in Vegas so I think she secretly wants to be a Motorcycle Mama!
