bet that cop wouldn't have pulled out in fron of a semi travelling at that speed. What'ya think?

Precisely what 'speed' was that... seems like the guy was accelerating most of the run.
I'll admit the cop made some errors...

(this is presuming he even saw 'crunchy' as pointed out by Rob).

Imagine you look and the lane 'seems' clear... you get to the media and all of a sudden your speared by the headlight of the idiot that was doing the wheelie. Can't do a lot but brace for impact at that point.

I just think the cop misjudged the speed of the bike. I really don't think he expected the bike to hit him, he probably didn't want to hurt the rider. You can tell by the way he reacts afterward (well he may also have been afraid of biker-crowd retaliation ) but he should have know that pulling out in front of oncoming traffic is a bad idea - especially when the reason you're pulling out is because they're speeding!

I just can't buy that the cop never saw the biker. I don't think his actions were intentionally malevolent, but he should have known better.

yeah, I'm always surprised when somebody posts a MC video that I ahven't seen yet.

It's like that commercial where the guy gets to the end of the internet. That's where I am with MC videos.
