Well said Popo. Felony evading or crashing your bike is usually the result of running. Safer to just take the ticket.

Ive been to JCI once and PP1 twice. I try not to hang out out places that draw attention. Ive been riding 14yrs, and lived around 1960 for most of my life. Ive never had an "M" endorsement. Ive been pulled over twice. Both times on 1960. First time, I was young, and the officer pulled me over for a loud exhaust. He found what he suspected, I had warrants. Second time (10 years later), I pulled out of Sams Boat Willowbrook (2 beers), pulled a wheelie in front of cop. No "M", and no PROOF of insurance. I was nervous as , but was completely honest with the officer. He issued me tickets and said have a nice day. I dont do wheelies or drink on the bike anymore. Everyone can get an , but personally, I run into a lot more at the bar than on the street.

they have good reasons, seems like every time you hear about a cop harrasment story, somebody always ends up arrested. common theme.....bikers have warrants.

ONLY time i've been pulled over on my bike, the trooper was working on the bike theft task force, he thought my bike looked like a Harley and my registration came up as something else. I'm glad he took the time to stop me and check it out.

What it comes down to in the end is personal responsibility ... something this country is losing in spades. We all know the laws and the rules. If you chose to break them ... man up and face the punishment when you are caught.

I hate it when some guy runs (car or bike), ends up hurting himself and others, and then have some activist group come and defend him while accusing the cops of being draconian. Bull!

And the one time I did get pulled over on my bike I walked with a warning becuase the cop noticed I was wearing all of my gear and had everything in order.

Been stopped a few times on the bike one for a relocated licence plate(which the law is up for interpitation). Second cause i took a corner too sharp and the cop thought i was running from him LOL. I told him i didnt even know you were behind me and thats just i ride. once he found out i wasnt a punk kid he let me go. So from my experiance just stop and take your licks.

I was soo close from the house that I did it, I felt like a with a roach on it when I got home, felt guilty that I avoided that very expensive ticket...
Could of gone the other way and then what!!!! Jail or worse, I know a friend who spent a week in jail for running!!!!!!
