Exclamation ** ADVISE FROM A COP/POLICE OFFICERS **

Advise from a COP!!!
Please guys and galls think before you pull on that throttle and try to evade... Again I WAS NOT ALWAYS A COP so I understand what some of ya'll may think/feel but instead try to feel how your family/friends would feel if you died... or worse if you were to get into an accident and become Catatonic" a Vegetable "... How would your loved ones feel/react ??? and over what ??? a Speeding ticket??? or a similiar ticket??? Riding a motorcycle is dangerous enough yet we do it because we LOVE IT... Lets not let something we love kill us over SOMETHING WE CAN AVOID... WE CANT ALWAY AVOID THAT CAR CUTTING US OFF OR THAT POT HOLE THAT MAKES US HAVE A TANK SLAPPER but WE CAN AVOID HITTING THAT THROTTLE AND PUTTING OUR LIVE IN *** EXTRA EXTRA *** DANGER AND THE LIVES OF INNOCENT PEOPLE TOO... This is not meant to people off in here but instead its meant to maybe save someones life... I say this as a cop but most importantly as a human being doesnt want to see a POST about a rider dying bc of something like this... I hope/pray that many of ya'll would agree with me...

evading is not worth it IMO.

speeding ticket = maybe deffered. maybe fine etc...

evading is quite a bit more serious. also, it goes on your record, and can haunt you in a number of ways.

a freind of mine tried to evade once, ran for like a mile or so, and then decided to give up. he pulled over, turned off bike, etc. took off helmet, even put his hands on his head before the cop even stopped. they ran up to him, PULLED him off the bike threw him to the ground, arrested him and impounded the bike, treated him like .

worse than that, is now everytime he gets pulled over the cop runs him, and comes back and asks "why didnt you run?" etc. gives him a harder time for that bad choice he made a long time ago...

to make it worse he lives in a small suberb and now most of the cops know his face, his bike, etc...

has to go through all that, when he coulda just pulled over and taken a ticket and went to court, got probation. even just pleading guilty would be 100 times better.

Running is common in California; at least was w my friends at the street races. We even had a few harrassed cause cops thought they were the ones that were running, even if the gear was different...

Remember also that if you have a Felony its hard as a mother Fudger to get a JOB which makes life much much harger if you dont have one of those... not to mention that without a good job its harger to have a nice bike... so just pull over... and take the ticket or whatever it may be... better than a FELONY ***

Yeah trust me, it's a felony to run and a misdemeaner traffic violation is a dream come true compared to even the smallest felony.

If I could ramble for a sec...

I had a friend who was a well known street racer here in Houston, with a good job, a family and a LOT of friends. He died while doing his thing.
He won the race and sat up, looked back to see where the other bike was and a car pulled out in front of him.
I wish he had been caught by the cops instead of hitting the back of that car at high speed... I bet his wife and kids wish that too.

Street racing is an automatic felony and we all know it aint safe.

Take it to the track, avoid the Popo and the little old ladies, they're everywhere.

BTW he was wearing the gear at the time but it didn't help.

I work as a Master Tech at BMW; which means my insurance is through work for all the expensive cars we need to drive on the road. So, if they don't wanna insure me, I'm outta a job....

Think about that everytime I ride.... And all the people that I support financially, especially those I have the ability to support emotionally at the church cause my finances allow me to take time out for them... my fourth graders, the 1st-6th grade boy groups and the student leaders...

The people I'm meeting can wait another ten minutes for me to arrive 'fashionably late and at a decent speed.'
