Big, huge thanks to all today...

Couldn't ask for a better group of folks to come out to the track and volunteer to help out today! Unfortunately, the rain from the night before and during the morning, was enough to make the track less-than-safe for a benefit track day. The storm that came in at 2am or so was really making it hard to sleep!

I personally want to thank Charles (Calimarikid), Jet George, Otha Smith & Co, "The Carbons", Aaron Gore (and the whole BBQ posse), Cycle Gear and Julie & Memo Velarde, the LSTD instructors & staff, as well as the people that showed up to watch, ride and to those die hard folks who rode their bikes in the rain just to attend.

It wasn't so much of a success for us, but through the generosity of the motorcycling community, it was a huge success as a benefit!

Between this event and the raffle at OHR, LSTD (Macman, Wade, & Jeff) was able to raise a substantial amount of money over the past several weeks to help defray the large medical and associated expenses for Alrova! Another example why those guys are simply a class act and industry standard!

I am extremely proud to be associated with such a classy group of folks, who, in my opinion, display all that is so good about the motorcycling community!

We hope to be able to make GSS again next season as it appears to be a good venue to teach at. If things go well there, I could see regular "noob" track days being very effective at that track, as well as a great technical training track for racers of all types.

Thanks again to everyone!

So people stayed and rode on the track? I had no idea...I left after the big pow-wow that said that it was cancelled and that we would have a track credit with LSTD for next year. We still DO have a credit for next year...right?

Sorry I could't make it out.
I really wish I could have enjoyed the company of friends if nothing else.

Sassy,
Sorry to hear you didn't get to take that beautiful bike out.
