Benefit track day, meet/ greet, BBQ- Sunday!

Just in case some of you don't go to the track forum, I'll post the particulars here:

When: 7am- 6pm Sunday, November 18th
Where: Grand Sport Speedway, Hitchcock (I45 south, near the dog track)

We have never run this track before, so some of this (like times) is subject to change. Gate entry should be free for spectators on Sunday. There will be a $10 drop-off fee for Saturday, and that will be open from 6p-10p. Myself and several others will be there to camp and hang out with friends Saturday night.

1. There will be BBQ plates for $7- proceeds from that to go to the benefit. Aaron Gore is cooking, and he's dern good too! Unless we sell out of food, nobody should go home unhappy with the BBQ!

2. Lots of MH'Ride Smart will be there riding, working, hanging out. Should be a very fun environment with photo ops and the chance to see how a great track day operates.

3. There are only a couple of spots left, so if you're coming, sign up now.

4. The schedule is posted below, but for those helping out, if you could be on the property by 7am it would be great, that way we can get assignments doled out and get the day started as early as possible.

5. Provisions have been made, but the facilities were not completed in time (ie bathrooms, power, covered paddock). So plan accordingly.

Schedules & Important Notes below...

1. Gates open at approx. 6:45am.
2. Check-in/tech inspection starts at 7:15am.
3. Riders Meeting at 8:15am.
4. First session on the track at 8:45am
5. Break for lunch at 12:30 (30 min.)
6. Resume Group sessions until 5:00pm.
8. Event ends at 5pm.
9. Gates close at 7pm.

I'm really looking forward to the day and meeting some new people. You can't miss me at the grid (unless I'm instructing on track), so please, don't hesitate to come on by and say "hello", no matter how buys I appear to be!

Thanks MH, this has been a great track day season with everyone, and this one should be just as good if not better. Not to mention that this is benefiting a great guy!

you said that gate entry should be free for spectators, what about us who want to ride? Is there a track day fee?

if you would like to ride, you had better hurry before reg. closes.

C group still shows having some open spots.

No, there should be no gate entry fee for Saturday at all (bring $10 just in case, but I don't think you'll need it).

To echoe what James said, if you want to ride Sunday, you better sign up today. Usually, those last few spots go at the last minute and we won't "over-book" the event, even though it's a benefit track day.

Thanks again MH!
