Anyone drove to cali before?

im headed to the anahiem area jan 3rd. to get my truck built(reason my bike is for sale) and it looks like i can take I 10 the majority of the way??

are there any side roads to bypass heavy traffic areas on the way? and approx how long of a drive is it? with 3ppl going and swapping out to drive, could the trip be made in 24hrs? without speeding too much. 65-75 the whole way??

I'd go I-10 to I-8 into San Diego, then catch I-5 North into Anaheim. Less traffic and a nicer drive..........I've done it solo in 21 hrs.

I've done it. I took I-10 the whole way. Just getting out of Texas is the worst part. 24 hours to LA with minimal stops. 12-ish hours just to get to El Paso.

Made it solo in one straight shot in 20 hrs flat. I don't recommend it as it took me 2 days to recover.

I drove straight through to Denver for my honeymoon. You are right on the recovery time. It isn't as flat and boring as the I-10 trip, and a couple hours shorter, but long drives like that can kill ya.

I have driven that route too many times to count. I usually stop in ft.stockton and tucson for rest.
