Some girl posts about wrecking with no insurance and license and she is flamed hard.

Your boy goes down and you want to start a collection to pay his bills that insurance would be covering.. I am guessing the wreck wasn't even reported??

Double standard????

Just curious....
The difference is that he had MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE not health insurance.......its not double standards.....just the truth. He was riding legal....not illegal. The law does not require u to have health insurance on urself. The minimum requirement is liability insurance. Thats the difference. Liability insurance does not cover ur medical only the other persons.

Sorry to hear about the accident. How's his bike? Will it buff right out? I haven't read all the posts... I'd be willing to help out however we can... Perhaps a donation garage sale? It wouldn't make much, but every thing helps.

That's why you practice, practice, practice and be prepared and alert. That and be aware around houses that there are kids and dogs and set your speed accordingly.

I am not an accident investigator (altho I play one on TV ), but if he slid 200 feet after going down he was traveling a bit fast for a residential area.

But glad he isn't any worse, and if he can find the owner of the dog he can threaten a lawsuit and see if they will settle. Leash law is your friend.

Actually your incorrect PIP is also mandatory in TX for motorcycles.... though I am guessing he signed the waiver, otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation....

if PIP you mean some kind of health insurance, its only required if you go for the "no helmet" indorsement.

Wrong....i dont have PIP b/c i have health insurance and i never signed a waiver. It is not required in TX only if ur not wearing a helmet and then u have to have over $10,000, approved paperwork from Austin and the exemption sticker on ur LP.
