full coverage on a 06 gsxr 750?

im looking at a 06 gsxr 750, i was wondering what would be the cheapest insurance company to give me full coverage. Some info that would probably make a difference is that im 18 and i got 2 tickets, one for speeding 15 over and busted taillights

Depends on what finance company you go with. Unless your gonna be buying it outright cash. IMHO, I would carry at least liability. Even if you finance. You can at least know you can take care of the other guy if it's your fault. The only downside would be if they hit you and didnt have ins.......

Your call.......

PM 1fastgsxr (candy). I think she's a state farm rep and might be able to help you out....

w/ 2 tickets in as many yrs, state farm isn't going to touch him.

and carrying lia. on a $5000-6000 bike is just plain STUPID.

then the reality is you shoulda bought another kinda bike, having 5000-6000 basically unisured is stupid. having a $1000-2000 w/ lia. no biggie. but 5000-6000 bike is just asking for something bad to happen. sure it makes sense NOT to pay $1200/mos on a $5000 bike. but to not have a 5000-6000 bike insured is stupid as well.

good luck with that, I don't even want to know how expensive full coverage would be for you...

I'm 34 and have had no tickets in the last 5+ years and my full coverage through state farm is $66/mo

State Farm FTW I know I am high but compared to every where else and recently totaling my 350z and being that I am completly covered for $166 a month for my 1098 doesnt sound to bad to me

I guess by Racer X's standards, I'm stupid x 2

Personal opinion here:

If you finance a bike, you should have full coverage, period. Not doing it is a sucker's play. If you can't afford the bike and full coverage, then look at another bike.

If you pay cash for a bike, then you need to ask yourself the following question: If the bike were stolen today, could you go to a dealership tomorrow and replace it without breaking a sweat. If the answer is no, then you should be carrying full coverage.

Both of my bikes are $5k +, and both have liability and uninsured motorist only. HOWEVER, they are either in my garage or within view while I'm teaching and I can afford to replace either one easily.

Keep in mind that bikes (especially sportbikes) are stolen (a lot) and wrecked (a lot).

Also, keep in mind that "most" insurance companies will give you a discount if you've passed an MSF course.

Just my .02
