Just for the record this is not correct...............

An Atheist believes there is no , a Christian believes there is a .

Two sides of the exact same coin.

An Agnostic is the one that doesn't "believe" at all.

Sorry for going farther off topic, but it's a pet peeve.

I just see that the U.S. will take a back seat in the future if it doesn't improve the education of its work force. It is becoming a knowledge society rather than a workers' society.

I don't have any kids yet and have no real idea what goes on in high school now but graduated from College and saw how many people were struggling in courses that shouldn't be any problem.

Paying educators more is a great start, the president and his/her staff should also research public versus private, schools should focus more on actual teaching rather than 'testing'.

They have schools that focus on correct teaching and the rate of graduation, even in bad neighborhoods, is high up and youth crimes are down, college admissions are up. They are doing something right, do what they are doing.

Oh, and quit the 'Let's speak Spanish' in schools . It is not only holding those kids back but also others. That really ticks me off. My cousin moved to Italy when he was 9, he had to learn Italian and within in a year was one of the best in class. A friend of mine brought her daughter over from Germany to the U.S. at age 11 and same thing there.

I wonder how all the muslims, jews, buddhists and everyone else feels that also came to the U.S. for religious freedom. If you love the constitution of your country, then you are not exactly showing it by wanting it to merge politics with religion and influencing one way of thinking over another.

No, I believe in science, but long before humans were even a spec in history's timeline, the universe was made, billions of years before we were here.
so made the universe lets say 500 billion earth years ago then waited till the last 5,000 earth years to make man?

No, paying educators more isn't going to solve anything. I have seen our educated people at work in oil field all over the globe and i have yet to see another country that uses logic and problemsolving like Americans.
I thin young americans should learn a foreign language in school.

This is based on your own research? How far have you gone? Have you looked under every rock in China? Explored every nook and cranny in Israel? Of course you haven't. You can't back this up at all. Try again.

I never said I wanted the President to create a vatican II in washington. I just said I wanted a Christian President with Christian Values. That does not include burning mosques, or oppressing other people's religions.

That does mean *hopefully* outlawing abortion, stem cell research, and declaring that marriage is what it is: one man, one woman.
