obviously the law states you could be prosecuted. I'm sure if the guy confronted them, he could see if they had something in their hands. I would shoot first, ask questions later.

I was dog sitting for my neighbors when they were out of town. They were supposed to leave me a key, I broke into their window to feed the dogs while they were gone. Good intentions, I broke in, but I had permission to be there.

Perhaps you don't know any criminals or have never really dealt with them. Criminals are not like you and I, they don't have a "moral compass" and will do whatever they can get away with... they will go as far as you let them!
How far will you let them go????
Pre-K I am fully aware of exampled of criminal minds, criminal justice is one of my passions but I will not pursue like I had wanted to. I wanted to be a psychyatrist for criminals. I simply am saying that these two men should not have been killed. If two men were breaking into my house and literally stepped there foot into our house these it would be such different circumstances than if someone stepped into our neighors house. I don't know my immediate neighbors because I am new there. It would hurt me to harm someone but if I needed to, I will.

In a situation... you are less likely to be prosecuted if you kill someone breaking into your house, or in your home stealing property than you are if you shoot them when they are fleeing.
You are less likely to be prosecuted if they are carrying stolen property, then if they are not (while fleeing).

The law does NOT say you CAN kill someone, or injure them...it says you have a LEGAL DEFENSE AGAINST BEING PROSECUTED.

lol I dont think there is a nieghborhood in the country that doesnt have driveway robberies. I'd shoot them too. Maybe if someone in your neighborhood would have done the same the theives would think twice. They know the possible consequences. Obviously they think that stealing a car radio/speaker is worth dying for. Let them have it!!!
If it makes you feel any better...regardless of what you would do for me...If I were your neighbor and witnessed someone breaking into your house and you werent home...you'd come home to a dead criminal on your property.
But then again...you would prob. rather them take all your though right?
What a retarded question.

This is the reason that the DA has decided to let it go to a grand jury. To see if there is a reason to secute.
