Yep, though i think his commentary was close to the mark.
It's going to come down to if the Grand Jury follows the letter of the law or the spirit.

I saw that on the news last night after MLK Jr. Wannabe came on saying that the shooting was racially motivated. I don't think race played a part....on the 911 call he never says anything racially derrogative and said if it had been his neighbors house on the other side (whome he knew well), he would have already taken action. I applaud the guy for what he did....illegals or not....had they not been breaking and entering, they would have never been shot.....case closed. They ended up getting punished for their actions, consequently, it resulted in their lives. Shoulda thought that plan out twice.

I'm not sure on their nationality, but with Spanish sounding names and looking to be of the African American origin I conclude that his motive was definitely racially motivated

...it's so hard to find a pair of white boys to break into a house when you need to shoot someone. :-)

Having a plan of action means not putting yourself or your family in a shitbox neighborhood where acts of crime and violence occur. Sorry but if you choose to live their then you choose the consequences associated with being in the area.

Like I said before only 3 people know exactly what occured prior/during the moment/s before he shots were fired. Everyone else can just speculate based on the limited information the police release and the skewed view in which the media presents it to the masses.

Dude, seriously, I have lived in Bayou Vista........

Yeah, Quanell X and all the other dickheads are making this a racial issue when it should not be. The other sad thing is that folks are actually sympathizing for/with the two burglars that were shot as a result of their very own criminal activities that day....that shyt is retarded. The more things like this happen, the greater the potential for when something really happens and actually has racial implications, it will be tainted with all of those preceding events- which had nothing to do with race- thus taking away the perception of any validity.

+1 though to Ulric, it will come down though to whether or not the letter of law is followed or that the GJ sees this in a more gray light...hopefully they consider who initiated the sequence of events- by attempting to rob someone of their property.

p.s.
Gotta say though, the guy really hurt his case with that audio of his speaking with the police operator. REALLY, hurt his case...

Bless Texas.
And I would hope you would, just get off the phone after you've told the cops where the event was going on...otherwise, premeditation comes into play as seen with this case, of course all being dependent upon, what, if any charge they-the state- raise against him...

As far as premeditation....of course. Thats what usually happens when you see someone breaking into a house. You think......then act.

If it was me...Id proablly think....sheet...i have to do something. I'd call the cops as well, wait a good 10 minutes or so...if nobody showed, id have to show myself. If the cops dont show up in 10 minutes on a burglary call, then I would put the blame on the police department.
Yeah I'm with you on that. He was probably of the mind that: they are on the phone so they will know and have a record of what happened. Hopefully that doesn't end up being his rope upon which to have hung himself. You don't really want a jury thinking premeditation against you, the word doesn't carry very positive connotations, particular in the court of law. I'm thinking (hoping) that the prosecuting attorney lets that word fall to the wayside when litigating this case because of the fact that he is so used to dealing with/trying to convict real criminals that he is finally glad to see justice served by what we, at this point, know to be a law abiding citizen...
