Thanks for the link.
no problem Randy! TWS (Texas World Speedway) is a fast track...hope you're ready....you should be able to hold your own in Level 2 if you're comfortable being passed and passing others likewise....

If you can learn the lines you should be fine....I'll call ya next week and we can arrange some details. BTW, the name is Danny

Hope to see some of ya'll out there. This will be my last TD of the year and if the last LSTD was any indicator of the weather it should be a bit nippy in the morning. Brena, are you and shannon going to make this?

Just got off the phone with DBuck and he said that Ride Smart DID NOT offer any credit or rain check.

They are making them ride in the rain and cold.

well, 135 bucks down the drain for the TD, 30 bucks wasted in gas....no 1/2 day credit, no nothing. "We have corner workers and we'll open the track if ya'll wanna ride." I'll save myself the headache and discomfort of crashing my bike in what is not ideal motorcycle riding. I don't think it is possible to practice your lines when there is 6"+ of rain on the track in certain areas. All I can say is +1 to Buck (LMS) and LSTD for cancelling their trackdays in advance when the weather had a definite sign of poor track conditions. (Even if it meant taking a "hit") I'm not here to bad mouth, but rather give my opinion of Ride Smart. This WAS my FIRST and LAST trackday with them and that is all. Lots of people showed up I think in hopes of receiving some sort of credit, but that didn't happen. I think I've found the organizations I'll be riding with from here on out. Hope to see you guys next season.

Were you getting the normal speech this morning - "Be sure to Hydrate!"
I'm sure you'll see lots of posts about how great it was in the afternoon, and everyone who left early missed out on a great afternoon of riding, and how so & so rode 300 track miles.

no, there wasn't any hydrate talk (that I know of, I didn't stand in the classroom all morning), but they did give about 2 hours of "practical" lessons. For those who have ridden the track and thousands of miles under the belt, it wasn't much of a lesson. On the other hand, for noobs it was pretty good info. They also had Roger Alberto (? don't quote me on that name) give an explanation/reasoning about suspension set-up and aftermarket advantages. It kinda felt like that was set-up to make up for the poor weather conditions and to get "your moneys worth". I'll pass and spend the rest of my day next to the fire I'm about to make

Did you at least get a couple of bottles of "free" water. $135/2=$67.50 per bottle!

Maybe he hid it - hence no hydration speech.
