Sorry that happened to ya, i'd say your odds of finding the bike are better since its a bright red zx14. I'm in the same boat as you as far as forking up a 1/3 of the cost of the bike a year, so i just do liability plus theft.

Buy another one, park it outside and bait em. At gun point they'll tell you where the other one went

What insurance company does liability +theft? Every one I've ever used makes you get comp/collision to get theft coverage, even USAA.

I have full coverage with Progressive, but I am pretty sure they will add theft to liability

Sorry to hear about the jack. I've got liability and theft only on my bike through State Farm. I think some insurance is a rip off and too expensive, so I only wanted to buy liability; but, hearing about all the bikes that get jacked here in Houston I didn't have the kahouna's(sp?) to get by with only liability.

Another reason is my career and the locations I have to travel to are easily reachable from Briar Forest / San Felipe. I'm going to have to get transfered to a unit that has a external closed gate, all there is to it.

As for insurance, I had full liability. Since I paid cash for the bike, I didn't feel like forking over 1/4-1/3 of it's value over every year on insurance. It's not like I can't buy another one, should be able to in a few months, but I'm worried that my complex management isn't going to take this seriously and not do a thing to increase the perception of security. This is something everybody has asked for time and again, to no resolve. I think a little legal action would be a good wake-up call for them - besides, I would only want market value of the bike + the mods on it and whatever the attorney cost me.

Thanks for all your concern guys. At least I still have the Vmax - for now
I might pick up a shitbox TL-1000 so I can attend the rides until I replace the mothership.

HOLY DUDE.....My uncle lives off of Seagler and Chevy Chase, he told me last year that there has been a crime wave coming through his neighborhood. One house on the corner of Seagler/Chevy Chase turned out to be a drug cartel house that some old people were living in and dealing out of. He is shocked that this stuff is happening over there....seeing as how houses in that neighborhood start at $250k and skyrocket from there...

I hope you get your bike back but.....odds are, its already chopped and parts are being sold on message boards all over the country....

When crooks steal bikes these days, they don't ride them and keep em together, they can part them easily and quickly and make good money for them. Numbers don't mean ..

FYI, State Farm full coverage is $75 a month on my busa.....my bike has been paid for for 3yrs and I still carry full coverage on it....I only have liability on my 1000 since I don't have a lot of money in it but I still guard it fiercely...

Good luck bro....

Also, keep your eyes on www.psychobike.com in the classifieds for any of your parts showing up....LOTS of parts sold there and most of which are busa/1000/ZX10/14 parts....lots of guys from houston on there to. I see complete engines there ALL THE TIME... Start checking numbers on em.
