I think I still have some green gasket material I used to use on my rc cars it was intended for use on heavy machinery. I'll go and check and let you know. About what size length that way I know if I have a sheet big enough.

No it has a weird name. My mom gets it from the company she works for. They spare sheets that they are going to trash because of left over material from previous cut outs. This stuff works awesome I made the header gaskets for my old Camaro one time and never had a problem.

Are you talking about the header gaskets in the head? Those are usually copper gaskets, gasket material and RTV is not going to work... go to a yamaha dealer and get the right gaskets. You will have to pull the header to change them, likely have to pull the radiator out also....Its not a "quickie" job....good saturday project.

^ whew. i was hoping someone was going to point that out, lol. ex. gaskets are big and soft copper rings, they act kind of like a crush washer.

I forgot what year FZR you have. Search the parts diagrams on this link and you should be able to find what you need.

mrcycles

Should be under cyclinder head or exhaust.
