and no.

We think it's the people that kept effing with his cars and stealing stuff out of them before - at his house, and also at his parents house. It has to be someone that knows him because while the car was at his parents house (which is very secluded) they stole tools, broke into it again at HIS house and stole CDs, then they broke into his beater car and I'm not sure what they took out of that...

no idea, mr. detective, you tell me...

Josh got the call while he was at our house from the cops, his dad called as well...

Josh has $$, he has no reason to torch his own car

Having money has nothing to do with it if you ask me. Tell me this what did they take off of the car??? If they have enough time to torch it they could have atleast took the rims.

Oh and im sorry this happend to your friend

Not to doubt what you are saying about his car, but it is kinda weird they didnt' take any rims, engine, transmission, doors, body panels etc. Usually when a car gets burned, it is to hide any evidence of who took it. Usually that means they wanted something off the car. The only other scenarios I can think of is he REALLY someone off and they wanted to get even, or like Cherub talking about ins. I don't know your friend, so i don't want to question their integrity, but those are the only scenarios I can see someone actually doing this.

Either someone really hates your friend or it was planned. They probably still would have taken tires, rims, head lights, tail lights, hood, seats, dash, etc. before they torched it. What is the cars worth?

Either way, the car was gorgeous.... Someone hopefully will get caught.

That is f'd up though. I had my convertible mustang stolen from me. My ex lost a set of my keys, and one morning I woke up with the car mangled in my driveway. I chewed her out for wrecking it which she claimed she didn't, then I saw the triangle window was down, she hadn't had the top off. When I got down there the car was hot. I had a flowmaster exhaust and never even heard it. Idiots parked it back in my driveway. Who would do that and risk getting caught? People are stupid sometimes. Thank they didn't torch it.

you'd have to know josh, this isnt an insurance issue.

I believe someone really has it out for him. Whoever it was had broken into his car previously, and taken small things. And thanks Crys.

, you've seen Cops - people steal cars all the time and go joy riding.

My friend had his GN stolen in B/CS, the theives took it joy riding, and parked it in a McDs parking lot - with nothing stolen. So it is possible. So please, spare me the insurance BS.

I only read your post and typed my opinion. I guess I would have to know him and see what type of person he is, but I wasn't making any type ofn judgment across him or anyone else. Regardless of what really happened, investigators will hopefully find out what really happened and find the who had nothing better to do but steal a few cd's one incident and torch the car the next. But like people with stealing and joy riding happens ALL THE TIME though. I've had vandalism done to my car as well, one was a hater and the other was two stoners that had nothing better to do. And again I am really sorry this happened. I'd be finding those folks with a mecheti (sp)!
