i guess what I'm saying is that, yes, power wheelies can be ridden out for as long as the oil pick-up is still doing it's job and there's gas in the tank - but if you want to learn to wheelie the right way, use your clutch.

I've been clutching them up more and more but still find powering them up to be more predictable.

and dude, I'm telling you of the thousand best wheelie riders in the world I'd bet that all 1000 of them are clutching them up more often than not.
Maybe u need to learn lesson 2......shifting while wheeling ???? No reason u can't go a very long ways ??? And sorry I dont know 1000 riders that wheelie but I do know alot that do it fine....and they all power up....it's a matter of to each his own....what your used too..and how well u know your machine

Why does this happen?

Are there really people that have nothing better to do than dig up threads from 5 months ago?

I registered here just to laugh at all the responses from the power wheelie crowd

Of course you can power up a wheelie. You can also play golf with a hockey stick. Sure they will both get the job done, but doing something the correct way is a lot more efficient.

Cltuch wheelies and you will learn them faster and be A LOT less likely to loop out. It's much more controlled.

^ poll there -- I'm actually kinda surprised that as many people said "power wheelie" as did. Squids on SL too.

On a 1000 especially a suzuki you do not need the clutch. The bike has so much power why abuse your plates. It comes right up 1st, 2nd and even 3rd(but it is harder)

I did use the clutch on a 750 but on a litre bike you don't need it. Popo when you get your bike back from doug you should pratice on his runway it is awesome for learning how without any of your friends wanting to bust you for it.
