Question about starting a Bike group?

Me and the guys I ride with has came up with an idea to start a club. At first before moving to Houston I wasnt keen on joining a club or even starting one because of the caddy behaviors of the guys in the club that I were around. Just trying to get an idea of what rider around houston think about bike clubs/groups what ever you might wanna call it....

I never understood the need for a motorcycle group/club/clan/crew. I get the shaking my head giggles at the seriousness of some of these groups. President!! w00t.

I've been in 3 different ESTABLISHED groups including Ruff Ryders, and to put it lightly, being in a group or creating a group is EXTREMELY OVER-RATED. ALL GROUPS have the same problems eventually (money gripes, participation issues, growing pains, hating on each other, etc)

I've CHOSEN to stay "club free" for a very GOOD reason, I don't want the hassle! Club/Organizations are nothing more than a name and t-shirts a group of friends can get together without the need for name association!

You may catch Racer X's approval if it has MSF somewhere in the title.

U WON'T, trust me, they all end up the same, unless u stay 3 people proud, and honestly that's a waste of time and money once u inlude ur shirts, that are useless and ur vests that get u NOWHERE!

I enjoyed being in RR the most, because of it's large scale and the fact that it is an ACTUAL organization, and would only go back to that group if i ever decided to jump back in the group waters.

I would NEVER start my own, and would never join somebody else's little "t-shirt" group trying to be bad cause it's..well..stupid!
