I like the nostalgia....

Got one to add; we had to learn to use the chinese calculators in California instead of using the school calculators cause we were over budget in Elementary school...

Kinda fun to be able to add/sub in my head... Fun to screw w the kids behind the cash register when you give them big bills w change and watch the hamster in their head stop and have a heart attack...

I'm your age- you're all forgetting how horribly boring it was to go on road trips in an old ugly station wagon. There were no gameboys, no dvd players. We had to use crayons that ALWAYS melted into the seats - and then we got in trouble and actually SPANKED!

I had Atari 5200 (upgrade ) and I loved Q-bert and centipede.

I remember the atari.. loved pitfall. Im proud to say I could still use the card catalog if my life depended on it...Getting grounded and not being able to watch Sarurday morning cartoons was worse than catchin a whoopin....and as for computers....monochrome Oregon Trail was the best game ever!

Dude we never had a flat anything. everything was big and bulky when it can to TV's. A bad TV was a huge cube that had a viewing radius of about 40degrees, and dont let the blinds be open cuase you cant see $%ish. I thought I was the ish when I bought my First 160lb 36" TV

That musts be why we spent most of our time going out side till the street light came on.

We didn't have cable growing up, we had a 16' antenna that got two stations way out on our farm. Sure did make fishing, riding horses, and hiking down to the river a ton of fun. Don't forget bb gun wars in the woods.

oregen trail...that was a "treat"

We went to the computer lab in elementary school and played "QWERTY" on our old school Apple Computers, so that we could learn how to type. "QWERTY" also taught us common denominators, fractions, etc.

I loved my pogo ball, my roller racer, my big wheel..

for those of you that don't remember what a roller racer is, or never had one:

05A0088

you sat on it and moved from side to side to make it go...

GA288P

back then i didn't realize how dangerous slip n slides really were.

What about the 1980s Nickelodeon - when NIck was GOOD
Out of control, You can't do that on television, Ren & Stimpy, Mr. Wizard, David the Gnome...

I had a Tandy and one of those printers where the sheets were always off line...spending time lining up the holes.
Atari...Pit Fall was my favorite.

Did anyone mention Organ Trail.

What about waiting days to get your pictures developed. Or running out of flash cubes for your polaroid!

You guys are bringing up a lot of fond memories.

Anyone remember the "knife/spoon trick" for Track & Field (arcade version)?

Rikki Tikki Tavi?
61GgSjS9iIL

Original Looney Toons ruled. I could watch Roadrunner & Coyote and Foghorn Leghorn toons all day.

We used to have Smokey & The Bandit on tape and me & my friends would quote that thing all the time all the "sum " , "G-dams" & "tic-turds" included... "I'm gonna go home and punch your momma in the mouth" is one of the greatest all-time cinema quotes!
