$100 x 25 (bikes) = 4hr race $2,500
$8 x 75 (people) = gate fee $600
food/drink sales = ???

$3,100 - $700 (ambulance) - $200 (trophies) - $1,000 (track fee?) = $2,100

$2,100 for 1 day....might not be getting rich....but sure as aren't spreading the wealth

Guys, if they start handing out money to the winners then it will be a whole different ball game. More protests, more cheating, more crashes, less fun IMO.

I like racing the TMGP for fun, I could care less about payouts. But, the fun is racing and battling it out on relatively equal bikes, even if it is over second to last place. Having that fun taken away by people who don't want to follow the rules so that they can blow everybody away just sucks and takes the fun out of it. I am highly competitive and I want to win as much as the next guy, but I am not going to cheat to do it.

Just FYI #6 did get protested, however they forfeited their points for the day and did not let the bike get torn down.

If they can't race fair, then they really didn't win anyway.

Don't forget about time spent having to be the ones at the track for arrivals and leave the track late to close up and clean up EVERY SINGLE TIME. Not to mention greif from riders complaining. Can you put a price on that? CMRA gets more money from alot more people and classes over the whole weekend overall. Being a business operation, don't forget about all of our socialist programs that demand taxes.
What's personal time worth? I don't feel like going to a race. I don't. If they have things that come up or don't want to make a race there are going to be alot of whiny people.

I was also thinking that if someone where to protest me cheating, I would have to tell them to let me ride their machine and see how close I could match it in times to save them some money and humiliation.

to a degree this is true. Most of the story(topic of discussion) is told in a straight line, not in the corners. But if 2 riders are somewhat closely matched, what's next? The bike.

The corners depends on mostly the rider skill. The straights? not as much.

+1

Kinda fishy that they would'nt agree to the tear-down considering the championship was depending on it.

Yes, we are talking on the straight. Just look alone at the Best Spd (Mph) column for Lightweight Superbikes. One really stands out!
