RIP Shane Boynton

I just thought I would post the article from the paper, and the funeral information........

Robert Shane Boynton passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007, in a motorcycle accident in Texas City. Shane is the son of Roseann Boynton-Jones of Galveston, and Amos Boynton of Lufkin, Texas. Shane was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on December 31, 1963.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don and Lottie Jenkins of Nacogdoches, paternal grandparents, Robert and Bernice Boynton of Lufkin, and Aunt Martha Jenkins of Diboll. He is survived by his parents; 2 children, River and Taylor Boynton of Dickinson; the mother of his children, Candice Steel; 2 brothers, Donny Boynton and wife Cara of Houston, and Brett Boynton of Pasadena; 2 nephews, Micah and Shay Boynton of Pasadena, and niece, Ellie Boynton of Houston. Shane had a close relationship with his Uncle Jack Jenkins of Diboll, Texas, and cousin Dr. Jerry Jenkins and wife Angi of Lufkin, Texas and numerous other relatives.

Shane had many friends, and was known for his kind and gentle spirit. He loved riding his motorcycle, but his first love was his family. He was a loyal friend, a wonderful son, a loving brother, and a devoted father.

Visitation will be Monday, November 12, 2007, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Fairmont Funeral Home and Cremation Service 6777 Fairmont Pkwy in Pasadena. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Well it's official... The viewing was on Monday (open cascket) and the funeral was Tuesday morning. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. We love and miss you Shane, but will NEVER forget you.
