""My mom was getting mad at me for forgetting to put the toilet seat down and she was falling in," said Jake, a fourth-grader at Odebolt-Arthur Elementary School."

At 4th grade, he's already surpassed the smarts and common sense of his mom. (and most women)

i allways thought that getting angry at us for not putting the seat down was bs. they should be angry at themselves for not putting seat down.

we need it up, we pick it up.....they need it down they should put it down!

I was thinking a shock like whats used on SUV rear doors (but smaller of course) and then instead of the plastic pieces under the seat, use rubber grommets.

But I'm no engineer like this kid, so what do I know...

Technology is here guys ... and it surpasses those shocks on the rear windshield of your moms expedition. How about an electronic hydrolic system activated by a motion sensor ... and when it senses a body standing in front of the toilet it automatically raises the lid ... once gone, it places the lid back down.

That little kid aint got nothing on me .... B*TCH!!!!!
