Hey ArturoC,

Do you think if you were a Christian you would be pushing Christianity as much as you do Atheism?

Of course, she sued.
Perhaps, but after all, it's just a movie. Some people think EVERYTHING should be questioned. I've always felt that if you are so opposed to questioning faith, then you have too much doubt in your own faith to begin with.
I think that is not the problem; someone's lack of faith. An athiest gets bothered by a person of faith pushing (or preaching) their beliefs on other people. Correct? I know you think it is a complete joke so that doesn't matter to you either way, but we know a few athiests who cannot stand it and allows it to get in their skin. Well, here you have an Athiest who is, really, so far across the other Spectrum that he "hates ". I wouldn't call that an Athiest unless he means that he hates the whole concept of religion. He would have to believe in in order to hate . Am I wrong? Okay my point is he is doing the same thing other athiests cannot stand, which is trying to pursuade kids to hate (assuming this article is true). Just my .02

Arturo wouldn't because he would never believe in a higher power.

How can you hate something if it isn't real? Well at least in your mind isn't real. And he didn't say the ... He said .

Obviously, if I was a christian then I probably would. It's hard for me to imagine myself in that position, or any position that requires blind faith.

FWIW, I was born and raised in a christian home, but never bought into it and questioned everything from an early age.

It is weird isn't it. Why push something that does nothing for you? Atheism is NOTHING. It is a nothing existence. You are here for 70 years or so and you die. Why go around pushing that you believe in nothing. Guess misery loves company.

Now wait a tick, Athiesm is life on earth which is followed by death, then depending on the person, you either die period, reincarnated, become a tree, etc. Like just because we happen to believe in a higher power doesn't mean we ALL believe the same thing.

Nope. Childhood was quite normal. Like I said, I questioned EVERYTHING. I was a very inquisitive child, fascinated by space.

Sunday school creation stories made no sense to me. They didn't like my questions.

I guess our brains are just wired differently. There is not misery in atheism any more than anybody in any religion has. If you think the afterlife is going to be so wonderful, why wait for it.
