Secondly, welfare or anything of the sort is not/ was not/ should not be designed and implemented strictly for blacks or any other minority here in the US, so lets not assume that to be the case. EVERY race has groups of individuals living off of welfare...taxes go for lots of stupid things that the government decides to fund and more of it is spent on retarded stuff than even welfare so the welfare burden though significant and problematic, is not the only reason we are hurting on taxes. Worse yet, social security probably has another 20 years or so so I sincerely hope a great deal of you have some sort of IRA's set up because you ain't getting a guvment check at 65 1/2.

On the topic of government assistance though, do you all believe individuals in the agricultural sector should receive some of the tax breaks they enjoy?

First off, I have to praise you. You have very good arguments that don't seem childish or un-educated. First off, I agree there are lots of people using welfare.

When I talk about things only directed towards minorities, two major things come to mind. One is the credentials to get into a major university are lower for minorities. In fact, look at Prairie View A&M. You can get an education from a credited A&M university, but because I am white, I am not allowed to attend that university. My GPA was not good enough to make it into A&M in College Station. Not to mention I was too lazy to work my way through college. Grants and government assistance are the same way. There are thousands of programs for minority groups that "White Americans" can't use. Now, you will notice I said minorities, not black people. This paragraph is to explain what I mean about stuff for minorities. American is American. Why aren't we all equal in both of those topics?

Last, I come from an agricultural town and my family currently leases 500 acres with over 70 head of cattle. You ask if ag people should be allow to enjoy the tax breaks they enjoy. I say yes. The agricultural business keeps beef in our stores, corn for our E85 etc. etc. There really isn't a lot of money in it for the SMALL farms. Without the tax breaks that would keep the small guy from even being able to have a farm. Those tax breaks don't put money in our pockets by any means. Helping ag people keep their farms going does wonders for the US economy. Not to mention the environment.

I don't mind people getting assistance. Everyone needs assistance, but I don't think it should be racially biased. If you are a black farmer, white farmer, blue purple or any color, the tax breaks are the same for ag people. That is one field where everyone is equal.
