Help finding a used bike!!!

Hey all,

First post and all that. I've looking to buy a used bike, either an r6 or 600rr. The problem is I can't seem to find anything decent for sale in or around Houston. I check craigslist, ebay and cycletrader daily, with little to no results. Any other options out there? Are there any local shops that are might be good to deal with? Let me know if you guys have any ideas.

Thanks

Also, if anyone knows of a good deal out there, don't hesitate to shoot me a message.

Be patient.

Craigslist is usually a good place though...

And there's plenty of people here too.

Good Luck

there are several consignment shops and flip shops... you pay a bit more but they can be financed and given warranties too.

try:
patrick/crew at motorcyclesunlimited

northcitycycles, honda/ducatic used bikes, and kawi(i45)

i bought my bike from north city cycles. Jon (the owner) really helped me a lot with picking the appropriate bike, and the moto runs awesome.

Wow...I've gotta say I'm really impressed with the response. Thanks.

Let's see....
I've checked motorcycles unlimited and northcitycycles web sites and haven't come across anything. I'll tell y'all a little more about my situation. My budget is pretty tight, with a ceiling of about 4,500 for the right bike (spending less if possible). I know these numbers are relatively low, but I think if I'm patient I can find the right deal.

Thanks again for all the replies. I've been all over the forums, craigslist and ebay. I'll post up if I find anything promising. If anyone happens to see anything promising, please send the info my way.

Cheers

PS MSF is scheduled for mid November

Oh yeah, I wanted to share something I found that really helps with craigslist. I'm obviously looking in all local markets and I found a search engine that compiles results for you. There are others out there, but this one has been the most helpful for me.

Hey guys, what do you think of this listing....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB....cWAT.m240.lVI

I've talked to the owner and she'll let it go for 4200. It'll be a pain picking it up, but the price seems right. Am I getting attached to this bike and I should really just be patient and wait for something better? It has been down twice (low speed) with a little rash on the fairing and a dent in the tank. It also has almost 17,000 miles, but it was purchased from a Yamaha dealer when it had 13,000, so I imagine it's in good shape.

Let me know what you guys think...

Cheers
