Interesting News For Toll Violation Tickets

Well, I learned about some interesting information this afternoon and I thought I would share it with everybody else on here since we all probably travel the tollway at some time.

Well many know but for the new guys I received a ticket a while back on the toll road. This ticket included 2 violations. First violation was failure to pay toll and the second was failure to stay in one lane. Well, I found out a little information about handling this sort of situation and felt I should share. Firat of all I would say that you should probably just stay in a single lane because the toll thing is not going to pick up your plate if you are hauling and then if you see a cop just slow down and take the failure to pay toll violation. The failure to pay toll violation is easy to have dismissed. The failure to stay in one lane is difficult to get dismissed unless you have witnesses that will appear in court to testify that you were avoiding another car or something. So, you decided to slow down and take the ticket for failure to pay toll. No Sweat! Once your ticket is on the docet (SP?) just go down to the EZ Tag Store with your ticket and pay your unpaid toll. This is going to be a dollar. That is right folks! Just a single dollar bill. $1 that is it. Get your receipt for the paid toll and head to your nearest fax machine. Or the most convienent fax... whatever. Fax a copy of the ticket and receipt to the court house (You will probably have to call and get the fax number.) then wait a while and call to verify they received it and it is legible. They will pass this on to the prosecutor. Which will sign for your dismissal. Call back in a couple of days to verify your dismissal. Woohoo! You just saved yourself $139 for not having to pay for a failure to pay toll violation. And, you did not run from the cops and risk your life over $1. Have a nice day and remember to Have Fun out there.* right:

This not legal advice and should be acted on at your own discretion. One should seek legal representation for questions about the law.

I try to stay in touch with reality at times... So, yes for some it would be best to just get an EZ tag but, for the rest of the Outlaws out there. Enjoy!

Obviously not useless. I never received a notice to my house because the plate was tucked under the rear and I use to go through all the time but eventually there was a car sitting on the other side. So, when this happens to you just get the failure to pay toll. Make sure you do not get the one that is difficult to dismiss. Just words of advice. If you have some other full proof plan... well more power to yah. right:

Re: Interesting News For Toll Violation Tickets

you know the sensors in the lane that trip the camera and ez tag reader don't take up the whole lane, so you don't have to "fail to maintain your lane" to get through....if you look and the road as you go through you will see a section (just like you do at traffic lights) just miss that and your good to go
