motorcyclist dies after attending funeral for another motorcyclist

http://cbs3.com/local/Motorcyclists.....2.481784.html

Man Dies Performing Stunt At Limerick Funeral
LIMERICK TWP. (CBS 3) ¯ A 26-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle Saturday morning in Limerick Township police said.

The crash occurred at about 11:50 a.m. at 10th Avenue and Lewis Road near the Catagnus Funeral Home.

The motorcyclists involved in the accident were leaving a funeral of friend, 23-year-old Frederick Car***no II, who was killed in a motorcycle accident earlier in the week.

Police said the two motorcyclists were performing stunts in front of the funeral home at the time of the accident.

"I saw a guy doing a wheelie and then they collided because they were going really fast and then they collided," eyewitness Charles Petiet said.

The victim was identified at Joshua Morris of Pottstown.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office is investigating the crash.

Motorcyclist Killed after Funeral for Fellow Biker
What started as a commemoration for a friend turned into a tragedy today in Montgomery County. One motorcyclist was hurt and another was killed after an accident in Limerick Township. Fior Hernandez has the story.

FAYE MOREAU: I was coming out of the funeral home and I saw smoke everywhere. FIOR HERNANDEZ: It started as a funeral for 23 year old Frederick Car***no, a biker who lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this week in Chester County. But ironically just before noon this gathering resulted in the death of another biker. FAYE MOREAU: All of a sudden all the people were running all in the same direction and they said two of them were down. FIOR HERNANDEZ: Police say two motorcyclists began doing bike tricks in the parking lot of Catagnus Funeral Home in Limmerick Township Montgomery county. It appears these tricks were in memory of their friend and fallen biker, but the display in honor of their friend unexpectedly turned deadly. CHARLES PETIET: I say a guy doing a wheelies and then they collided cause they were really going fast.FIOR HERNANDEZ: 26 year old Joshua Morris of Pottstown was pronounced dead at the scene. Charles Cooper was the other driver involved, he was flown to Hahnemann Hospital and is expected to survive the deadly crash. Onlookers say the bikes were torn to pieces. CHARLES PETIET: I saw a bunch of pieces flying. FIOR HERNANDEZ: The Limmerick Police Department is investigating the incident.

Not really sad...just plain stupid...I hope that all of their other friends and fellow motorcyclist learned from the deaths. Obviously the one that died at the funeral didn't learn a thing.

I don't know if it was stupid it is just sad. They all were obviously stunters. Stunters live to do stunts. There friend died on a bike so in a momentum to him they did stunts at the funeral. He and the deceased were at least doing something they loved when they bought it instead of dying from cancer or a hit by a bus, or some other thing afterall we ALL die. The main thing is knowing where you going when you do.

Do you think it would be stupid if someone got killed riding a bike to a funeral? What we do is dangerous. This situation was just sad.

Unless it was planned to do the stunts at the funeral. If it wasn't planned and ok'd by the family of the deceased, then it was stupid.

I doubt they were real stunters. Most stunters' parking lot tricks are not really at speeds sufficient for the kind of devastation that this sounds like.

Granted, I'm fully aware that you can be killed by a fall at walking speeds, it just sounds like this was a case of too much speed.
