well road racing world has never been accurate in any of there test. b\c when u work with riders like kevin schwantz and jamie james and worked for teams suzuki and yamaha u might know a lil bout what u talking bout. i dont know just me but usely u learn something working for the big race teams. the top riders in moto gp ride Michelin or dunlop. the ones who use brigstones arent in the top 10. that alone should tell u something .

First off Dunlop is not even in Moto GP. However Bridgestone has scored MULTIPLE podium finishes since they stepped up their involvement last year.
Shows you don't know your facts

Second, IF you've worked with large race teams than you would know that Michelins require LESS pressure, not more as you asserted.

BTW, you can't have your cake and eat it too, if RRW says Michelins are good and also that the Bridgestones are good how can you agree with and discredit them at the same time.

IMO everyone currently has a good tire on the market. The M1's at the moment are getting a little old but are still good.
All of the tires have certain characteristics that define them.
Pick the one that suits your riding style / budget best.
If you've only tried one brand of tires you're going to be viewing things from a very limited perspective. Tire technology changes rapidly, the opinions that may have been valid only a year or two ago can be changed overnight.

I've only used 3 different tires and on 3 different bikes so I can't say that 1 is better than the other. I have liked them all but I don't ride aggressive enough to truely see what they are capable of.

first of all people are aloud to have there opion bout what ever they like. so people can ride on what ever they like 2 ride on. allso u must work for brigstone or have a specail deal with them that u keep backing them all the time. i know for a fact that companies pay guys 2 go into chat rooms 2 rave bout there product and 2 get people 2 buy it. also i try all the tire brands. right now i got a set of new pirellis on a bike right now that we r testing. allso this post was 2 help this guy with his problem. also kenny roberts is running a dunlop right now on his bike and few other riders sorry but ur info is a lil off . if u dont think i am telling the truth go 2 his web site and look at his bike. also with what tire pressure i run. i run what works for us but run what u want who cares dam. my advice for the guy who wrote this post just try what u want and see what u like.

Yes, I am a Bridgestone dealer trackside, and Dunlop as well.
At my shop I'm a dealer for EVERY brand of tire so I have no hidden agenda, and no one pays me to be on this or other boards, I do it to try to help out and because I enjoy it.
However if you compare the tone of my posts to yours, I am not condemning a single brand whereas you are. If anyone has a hidden agenda I'm more inclined to believe it's you.
While I am opinionated, I have developed those opinions through experience of what works. The people on this board know that know me know I refuse to recommend something if it doesn't work.
I was unaware Kenny Roberts Sr. was using Dunlop on his team, so you have me there.
However multiple teams are using Bridgestone including KR jr., John Hopkins, Nankano, Capirossi and Checa.
And yes, everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, however I become tired of self proclaimed "experts" who spread misinformation that might cause someone to do something that may endanger them, but hey, if the Michelins are working that well for you with higher pressures, you may want to contact Michelin and let them know they're wrong on their race pressures.

most top tier tires are way over the limits of the avg. riders. and if yo do fubar, it more then likely rider error vs tire problem.

and worrying about whats run on motogp bikes is like comparing F1 to street cars...........

werd racerx

also i will throw my 2cents in here i have recently bought a sport touring tire that i absolutely love...

metzler road tech z6

I have takin it to some great angles and stayed right behind some of my buddies that ride good on the streets and it has no problems gripping and staying with them...As well as it is phenomenal in the rain...

I have seen a lot of the people of this board ride and i ride a lot faster (probably stupider) then most not saying i am better just not worried as much and this tire is great....

Also has great cold traction as well as wormed up traction....

lol well i am very proud of u, that u admitted that u made a mastake. everyone dose it so its cool. i have nothing against u and its ur job to try 2 sell ur product. u are not as previlage in your info as i am. so i get info before anyone else dose b\c who i work for. i am a expert tunner and a expert at setting up the chassis for the track and tires. also in racing u r tring new things all the time to see if u can go faster. so u dont allwayz go with the sudjested specs. so i am just saying what works for me and my teams. also for the teams who run brigstones, they have very good riders and very good tunners. i know meny of the guys in the those crews. they are very good guys and very good at what they do. the main thing that win a race is the rider and thats what counts. if the rider is confortable with what u got thats what makes u win. also i like the meztler sport touring tires they are pretty good.

I'm attending the Race Tech seminar in Corona. I'm staying at a hotel here in Riverside till Saturday, we're off Wednesday so I'm renting a bike to ride PC1, I also thought I'd visit some of the vendors in the area.
